What is the biggest risk you’ve ever taken, and what did you learn from it?
The biggest risk I’ve ever taken was moving abroad. Uprooting my life and stepping away from everything familiar was a huge decision – but one I’ve never regretted. I’ve learned so much, both as a person and as an athlete, and I’ve gained experiences that I never would’ve had otherwise.
What is one habit or mindset shift that has made a significant difference in your life?
I have many routines, but one of the most important lessons I’ve learned is not to take everything too seriously. In a high-performance environment, you’re expected to deliver every single day. But it’s just as important to say “oh well” and move on when things don’t go your way. That mindset has made me more mentally resilient and given me greater balance.

Who has been your greatest inspiration, and how have they influenced your journey?
My family, without a doubt. From day one, they’ve supported me – through highs and lows. Their belief in me has meant everything. I wouldn’t be where I am today without them.
Looking back at your journey, is there a piece of advice you wish you had received earlier?
I wish I’d had the courage to move abroad a bit earlier. You gain so many perspectives and experiences when you step out of your comfort zone. Living on my own in a new country hasn’t just shaped me as a handball player – it’s shaped me as a person.

If you could change one thing for women globally, what would it be, and why?
I would push for true equality – especially in the world of sports. There’s still a clear gap between the opportunities women and men are given, even when we put in the same amount of effort and professionalism. It’s frustrating. I dream of a future where women in sports are truly recognized – not just with words, but through action and equal opportunity.
